How we handle your personal and health information — including the photos and medical records you send us.
Last updated: 23 August 2026. This policy explains what Medi Route (“we”) does with the information you give us when you enquire about treatment.
Who we are
Medi Route is a medical travel coordination service, based in the United Arab Emirates at Meydan Grandstand, 6th Floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, U.A.E.. We are not a hospital, clinic or healthcare provider, and we do not diagnose patients or make clinical decisions. For any question about your data, contact us at infomediroute@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Contact details — your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number and the country you are travelling from.
- Enquiry details — the treatment you are interested in, your intended timing and anything you choose to tell us.
- Medical information — photographs, X-rays, scans, documents, medical history and any clinical details you choose to send so that a clinic or medical professional can assess your case. This may be sensitive personal information, and we treat it accordingly. We do not assess it ourselves clinically and we do not diagnose you.
- Website data — standard technical information such as pages visited, referring site and approximate location, collected through analytics if enabled.
Why we use it
To assess your enquiry, to obtain treatment options and quotes from partner clinics, to arrange your trip if you go ahead, to provide aftercare follow-up, and to answer your questions. We also use non-identifying website data to improve the site.
Our legal basis
We process your contact and enquiry details because it is necessary to respond to your request and to perform our agreement with you. We process health information only with your explicit consent, which you give by sending it to us and confirming that we may share it with clinics. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
Who we share it with
- Clinics and medical professionals — where necessary to obtain quotations or assessments, or to coordinate the services you have asked for, and only what they need.
- Travel and accommodation providers — hotels and transfer companies, given only the details needed to serve you.
- Service providers — the tools we use to run the business, such as email, form and messaging providers.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers. We never publish your photographs or your story without separate, explicit written permission from you.
International transfers
Your information is handled by our team in the United Arab Emirates and may be transferred to and processed in Türkiye by the clinics and providers involved in your care, which is outside the UK, EEA, Australia and North America. We take steps to ensure it is protected to an appropriate standard, and we only share it with the clinics and providers involved in your care.
How long we keep it
Photographs, medical images, X-rays and documents submitted through an enquiry are generally retained for up to 30 days. We keep them longer only where necessary — for an active enquiry, ongoing coordination of your trip or aftercare, a legal obligation, resolving a dispute, or where you have asked us to keep supporting you. Basic enquiry and contact records are kept for as long as needed to answer follow-up questions and to meet our legal obligations, and are then deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in portable form, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email us and we will respond within the time your law requires. You also have the right to complain to your data protection regulator.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted transmission and reputable providers, and we limit who can see health information. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send more clinical detail than a clinic actually needs to assess you.

This site uses only the cookies needed to make it work, plus any analytics you have chosen to enable. If you add analytics or advertising tools, you must disclose them here and, in the UK and EU, obtain consent before setting non-essential cookies.
